Asteria's engines, compressed to a glance: the Moon, today's transit, the live sky, the planetary hour, the retrograde board, your signature, void timing, the next lunation, your profection year, the progressed Moon, and the next eclipse that hits your chart. Live previews below. Add any one of them to an iPhone.

Install Scriptable if you don't have it. The button opens it. Run the script it shows. Then long-press the home screen, add a Scriptable widget, and choose Asteria Moon.

Add Asteria to Scriptable

No chart is loaded, so the previews use the reference chart. The scripts do not.

Copy the script instead

This copy is Asteria Moon. A Parameter on the widget overrides the face. The script URL accepts theme=<name>.

How the widget stays current, and the native path

Scriptable is the prototype. Each script saves the last JSON in the phone's cache and draws that if the network misses, so a locked screen does not go blank. It asks again when the payload's ttl elapses. Shared sky (Moon, sky, hour, retrograde, void, lunation) is public and refreshes in about 15 minutes, retrograde in about an hour. A chart widget is private, refreshes in about 15 minutes to an hour, and carries a token, never the birth data.

Small faces keep the datum and one word. Medium adds the living sentence. Large adds the next time or the house. Lock-screen sizes stay the datum only.

A native iOS widget would be a WidgetKit timeline over these same JSON urls. The timeline reloads at ttl. No Scriptable step. Android home-screen widgets are the same JSON, later. Deleting the chart revokes the token.

How this works: iPhone home-screen widgets need a native app, and Asteria's is on the roadmap. Until then these run through Scriptable, a free and widely used widget runner: the script fetches a small JSON summary from Asteria and draws it on your home screen. Chart widgets carry a private token that serves computed lines only, never your birth data; you can revoke it any time by deleting the chart. When the native app ships, the same widgets come with it.
