Lunar Return · every ~27 days
Your month
Leo
Sun is the chart ruler.
In shortThis Lunar Return is exact on October 29, 2026, birthplace time, and the month it opens runs to the next one, around November 26, 2026. The Moon is in Cancer in the 11th house, the room of allies and the long future: that is where the feeling of the month lives.
The month arrives through Leo. The Sun is the chart ruler. The interface is visibility that can be felt. What the month takes is the version of recognition that only existed as performance. What the month builds is the version that can stand when the audience is quiet.

Asteria · the month in real lifeWhat this month tends to look likeMoon in the 11th · Saturn in the 9th · Jupiter in the 1st
The Moon shows where the feeling lives, Saturn where the month asks for effort, Jupiter where it eases.
The emotional body · Cancer, 11th house
Moon
The emotional body sits with allies and the long future. The curriculum is the feeling that can belong. What the month takes is the mood that only existed as distance. What remains is the feeling that can stay with the group.
The audit · Aries, 9th house
Saturn
Saturn sits on the long road this month. Plans to travel, study, or try a new way of seeing meet a practical limit. Keep the meaning and shrink the plan to something you can actually do.
The expansion · Leo, 1st house
Jupiter
Jupiter sits on the threshold for the month. You come across warmer and more open, and people respond. Say yes to the invitation you would usually wave off.

Asteria · the methodWhat a Lunar Return doesAbout every twenty-seven days
A Lunar Return is cast the moment the Moon returns to the exact degree it held when you were born. That happens about every twenty-seven days. Asteria draws it as a full chart, the same wheel as when you cast a chart of your own: rising, houses, planets, and the aspects between them.
It does not replace the natal chart. The natal chart is the life. The return is that life's emotional assignment for one month. The rising sign is how the month meets the world. Planets on the angles are who has been given the stage in the feeling. The Moon is the emotional body of the month. Saturn is the month's auditor of feeling. Jupiter is where the feeling is offered room.
Asteria · the glossaryWords on this pageLunar Return, Return rising, Chart ruler, Angles
- Lunar Return
- A chart cast for the moment the Moon comes back to its exact birth degree, about every twenty-seven days. It reads that month.
- Return rising
- The sign on the eastern horizon at the return moment: how the month meets the world. It needs a real birth time.
- Chart ruler
- The planet that rules the return rising. It runs the month.
- Angles
- The Ascendant, IC, Descendant, and Midheaven. A planet within a few degrees of one is loud for the month.
- Relocation
- Casting the return for where you are instead of the birthplace. The rising and houses change; the planets do not.
- Sky Moon
- Where the Moon is in the sky right now, placed in your natal houses.
- Profection
- A one-house-per-year clock that names the year's room.

How the Lunar Return works
About once a lunar month (roughly 27.3 days) the Moon crosses the exact degree it held at your birth. Asteria casts a full chart for that moment: the return Ascendant sets the month's tone, and the return Moon's house names where the feeling-life concentrates.
Think of it as the emotional weather forecast for the next four weeks, not a rewrite of your natal chart. The natal chart is the architecture; the Lunar Return is this month's climate inside those rooms.
Relocating changes houses and rising for where you will actually be. The sky moment stays the same. Cast it for the city you will spend most of the month in, not only the city you were born in.
Read the return Moon's house first (where the month asks you to feel), then the rising sign (how you meet the month), then the tightest return-to-natal aspects (which natal stories the month reopens).
