What is loud now
Profection year of the 2nd house
A new year of your life has started, and the chart has handed it a new focus. This one is about money, possessions, and self-worth.
A new profection year has just begun. The year has selected a new room of the chart, and the planet that rules it takes the lead.
What the year stirs
Money, possessions, income, and the quieter question underneath: what do you believe you deserve? a 2nd-house year sorts resources, pricing, debt, gifts, and the nervous system around scarcity or abundance. spending and saving both tell the truth.
The year lord · Sun
Sun rules the year. In your birth chart it sits in Scorpio in your 4th house; today it is moving through your 4th house. The year lord is the sun: visibility, vitality, and what you are willing to be seen standing for. watch solar transits, eclipses, and anything that aspects your natal sun; they double the volume.

Asteria · the major cyclesFive clocks, one life.
Saturn audits the structure, Jupiter expands the room, the nodes pull the direction, the Progressed Moon ripens in one house, and the profection year selects another. Each line says where that clock stands and when it next turns exact.

Asteria · reflectionQuestions for this season.
One from the loudest chapter, one from each room running underneath. Answer one on paper or in your journal; the rest can wait.
Asteria · the practiceAddress the loud one, keep the rest.
A short protocol: one act for the loudest chapter, one for the quieter room underneath, so neither gets dropped.
For the profection year of the 2nd house
Name the year's room in one sentence and keep it where you will see it.
And keep the background running
Once a week, learn one thing outside your usual world, and write down what it changed.
Check in
Once a month, ask which chapter is asking for proof now. It changes.

Asteria · plain wordsThe words on this page.
The astrology terms stay because they are the ones you will see everywhere. Here is what each one means.
Cycle
A planet travelling all the way around your chart and back to where it started. Several run at once, at different speeds.
Return
A planet back on the exact degree it held when you were born. Jupiter returns about every 12 years, Saturn about every 29.
Square and opposition
The quarter and halfway points of a cycle. They mark check-ins between returns.
Nodal return and reversal
The lunar nodes, the axis of direction in your chart, coming back to their birth place (every 18.6 years) or flipping end for end (halfway between).
Profection year
An ancient timing method: each birthday, the chart moves forward one house. That house and the planet that rules it lead the year.
Progressed Moon
Your emotional life as it matures, spending about two and a half years in each house.
Eclipse season
The few weeks around a solar or lunar eclipse, roughly twice a year. Eclipses touching your chart act as turning points.
Loud
Closest to exact right now. Every cycle is always running; the loud one is the one asking for attention.
Exact and felt
Exact is the precise date a contact peaks. It is felt for weeks or months either side.
